Sometime last week or the week before, I stumbled upon Google’s latest attempt to enter into the social media market and dethrone Facebook and the other social media providers. Their new product is called Google+.
I read an interesting blog post by Scott Kelby about what Google+ has to offer for a photographer and for that matter everyone else.
So for those who wish to share their images and work, there are a plethora of options…maybe too many options between Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, Smug Mug, personal blogs, websites and now Google+.
I’m not sure how many of you have been following the Iditarod. On March 5, 2011 the 38th running of what some consider to be “the last great race on earth” began. It is a test of man and beast to traverse nearly 1,150 miles of frozen ice and snow. Not to diminish the challenge, but with check points and food drops, much of the cache of being a wild adventure seems to have been tamed out of the race. Continue reading
