Acadia here we come, well sort of…

The annual sojourn to Maine is set for today and this year will be a little different.  Instead of the usual hiking, climbing and paddling we normally enjoy, this year’s new amusement will be seraching for the handicapped parking spaces.  As luck would have it, my wife has a series of hairline fractures in her heel, making it all but impossible to walk.

That said, I am still going to be able to sneak off for two maybe three photography shoots.  One sunrise atop Cadillac Mountain, one sunrise along the Otter Cliffs and I am hoping to find a nice evening shoot somewhere on the island as well.  I am going to attempt to do a better job documenting my photography foray’s with locations, wake up times, weather conditions, composition decisions, etc…

I was originally planning on renting a super telephoto lens for the whale watching trip, but the last minute snafu with my wife’s foot delayed our decision to head north so no lens.  I will look into renting a nice wide angle lens this fall for leaf peeping season.
