Our last 168 hours

168 hours ago my wife’s engagement ring and wedding band were last seen sitting on a rain coat at the edge of our bed.

168 hours ago the diamond my great-grandmother gave to my grandmother, which was given to me to be made into a ring, disappeared.

168 hours is a long time to not know where something has gone.

For the past 168 hours finding those two rings became an obsession.

And just like that, 168 hours later, they reappeared.
