Heat, electricity, monk fish and a downward facing dog

After twenty-days of having no heat on the first floor of the house; the repair company found it in their hearts to take our money and tear out all of the ductwork in the cellar and replace everything with nice new shiny vents… coincidentally, running space heaters on old cloth wiring from the 1920’s for twenty days will cause your wires to melt and subsequently force the circuit breaker to not allow electrical current to flow through the burnt wires.  Luckily the house did not burn to the ground and Billy the electrician save the day with sixty feet of new wiring and the promise of more to come.

As for the fish…this has got to be the easiest and possibly tastiest recipe I’ve seen in a while.  Slice your fish as if you were slicing a loaf of French bread and insert slices of garlic, brush with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 425.  We served it over some yellow rice and roasted asparagus.

Lastly, since the odds of me joining a gym seem to be slim to none..I’ve decided to try, key phase is try, to wake up early and start doing some simple exercises at home in the morning.  Just a few sit ups, push ups and dare I say it…maybe some yoga.
