The Eagle has landed

Living in the Hudson River Valley has its benefits.  Besides being so close to NY City, several amazing state parks, the Appalachian Trail, historic Revolutionary War sites, and countless other interesting places of interest…the Hudson River has once again become home for Bald Eagles.

If you have never had the chance to witness them, they are truly amazing creatures.  I highly recommend attending  Eagle Fest 2011, an event hosted by the Teatown Lake Reservation to get out see our national bird. For all you aspiring shutter bugs, Jeff Lynch recently had an outstanding post on his blog with some recommendations and suggestions for getting great bird photographs.

  1. Thanks for the compliment and link Joshua. Don’t tell my Texas friends but I was born up your way and still have family there.
